Dark Rey gets her own funko pop! Figure in front of The Rise of Skywalker in the cinema. Dark Rey was first featured in the D23 Expo footage released this summer. The character is a mystery and the same goes for C-3PO and his bright red eyes, who also gets his own funko pop! Number. These types could come with some spoilers from The Rise of Skywalker so they will not be available until July 2020.
In addition to Dark Rey and Red Eyed C-3PO The Rise of Skywalker Funko Pop! line presents the Knights of Ren to us. These guys look pretty good and are made of hematite chrome. All six figures have their characteristic weapons as identified. There are club, blaster, scythe, ax, cannon and blade. There are also two Kylo Rens, one of which glows in the dark, along with D-O and BB-8. These guys will all be available in January 2020 and can currently be pre-ordered. Exclusive mini figures from the upcoming movie are also available in advance.
If that were not enough, there are a few variants that are only available in certain stores. A pop! Knight of Ren (Club) is available exclusively from Hot Topic. Pop! Knight of Ren (Cannon) is available exclusively from Walmart. Pop! Knight of Ren (Blade) is exclusive to FYE, Pop! Knight of Ren (Blaster) is exclusive to GameStop, a two pack pop! D-O and BB-8 are exclusive to Books-A-Million and a Pop! Kylo Ren and Rey in a double pack are available exclusively from Barnes and Noble. The Knights of Ren special editions do not seem to be made of hematite-chrome.
There was much speculation about Dark Rey and how it fits into The Rise of Skywalker . While some believe it could be a nasty clone of Emperor Palpatine, there is another theory that brings things back to The Empire Strikes Back . As the footage of the D23 Expo receded, Star Wars fans went into full-speculation mode, but one of the most common theories is that Rey sees a nasty version of himself in a cave, like Luke Skywalker on Dagobah. The Cave of the Dark Side "questions the perceptions of anyone who penetrates their depths, attracting visitors and often experiencing visions of the past, future, or possible future."
The Rise of Skywalker will hit theaters on December 20, and there's still a lot of puzzling about the movie, which is good. Star Wars Fans have been trying to figure out how J.J. Abrams will wrap up the Skywalker saga for nearly two years. Luckily, the wait is almost over. There will certainly be many more toys in the coming weeks. So look out for spoilers.
