The Fantasy Island movie poster by Blumhouse and his synopsis promise that you will never come home

We have some new merchandise for the upcoming Fantasy Island Film . Blumhouse Productions and Sony Pictures turn the classic TV series into a big-screen affair next year, but with a twist. Instead of being a happy, fantasy-fulfilling affair, this will be a horror twist. This is annoyed both by the first synopsis of the movie and by the newly published synopsis of the plot.

From the poster, the picture itself is gorgeous. We see a lush tropical island in the countryside, surrounded by crystal clear water. It's the kind of island vacation so many dream about. There is a small plane heading for the island and the ominous hashtag #NeverComingHome, which serves as the film's slogan. Sony Pictures shared the one-sheet on Twitter with the following caption:

"This Island is a Scream." Blumhouses Fantasy Island on Valentine's Day at the Cinema. "

Fantasy Island The show featured guests who shared their experiences after visiting an island owned by the mysterious Mr. Rourke, who had seemingly unlimited resources. In this way, the visitors on the island could realize virtually every imaginable fantasy. However, these fantasies never developed as the guest expected. Based on the synopsis for the movie, things will take a darker turn. The summary is as follows:

"The enigmatic Mr. Roarke (played by Michael Pena) makes the secret dreams of his lucky guests come true in a luxurious but remote tropical resort, but when the fantasies turn into nightmares 'The guests must solve the mystery of the island in order to get away with their lives.'

So it sounds like they are taking a mysterious view here. Jeff Wadlow, who recently directed the lowkey hit Truth or Dare sits in the director's chair for the adaptation of the television series. The cast includes Dave Bautista (19459005) Guardians of the Galaxy (19459006), Lucy Hale (19459005) Truth or Dare (19459006), Michael Pena (19459005) Ant-Man and the Wasp (19459006), Michael Rooker (19459005) Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (19459006), Charlotte McKinney (19459005) Baywatch (19459006), Paris Fitz-Henley (19459005) Midnight, Texas (19459006) and Austin Stowell (19459005)] Bridge of Spies ).

Blumhouse began converting low budget horror deals into hit franchises. Paranormal Activity Insidious and The Purge are just a few examples. They have also stuck behind some Oscar-winning hits such as Whiplash and Get Out . In recent years, the studio has begun to examine the application of its low-budget model to existing properties. 2018 Halloween will be a great success. Fantasy Island represents the latest such venture.

Fantasy Island was originally aired on ABC from 1977 to 1984 , The series ran over seven seasons with a total of 152 episodes and the two original TV movies. A single season revival season was aired in 1998. This is the first time that the property has found its way onto the screen. Fantasy Island is scheduled to hit theaters on February 14, 2020.
