We have an exclusive clip of The Peanut Butter Falcon to share before the official release of Blu-ray and Digital. The film premiered at SXSW earlier this year and then hit theaters in August. While the film was not a great success at the box office, it was a sleeper hit that raised over $ 20 million. In addition, The Peanut Butter Hawk has received rave reviews from critics and currently holds a 95% Fresh rating for rotten tomatoes.

The Peanut Butter Hawk follows Zak (Zack Gottsagen), a young man with Down syndrome who runs away from a nursing home to earn a living, dreams of visiting the pro-wrestling school of his idol The Salt Water Redneck (Thomas Haden Church). En route, Zak meets Tyler (Shia LaBeouf), a small criminal who becomes Zak's unlikely coach and ally. Together, they embark on a wild, life-changing journey, trying to convince Eleanor (Dakota Johnson), a friendly nursing home clerk to bring Zak back, to join them.

In a interview with The Peanut Butter Falcon directors they were not sure how they would turn the film first. Tyler Nilson and Michael Schwartz have met Zack Gottsagen for the first time in a camp for people with intellectual disabilities. Zack approached the directors, introduced himself, and declared he wanted to be a movie star. Nilson and Schwartz first got in the way of godfathers and found that people with Down's syndrome are not usually cast in Hollywood movies. At first he was angry, then he asked her to do the film. Nilson and Schwartz thought about it and then decided that it was time to present a person on the big screen like Godshit. Nilson had the following to say about working with god-sayings.

"It was one of those moments when I met him and it was like: & # 39; This guy is just a beautiful soul and someone I want to get in touch with and to be with. "Then we learned that he wanted to be an actor and studied drama all his life."

Tyler Nilson and Michael Schwartz set off to explore Zack Gottsagen's acting skills in a proof to test and test of concept video and get actors and a studio on board. Immediately signed Shia LaBeouf and Dakota Johnson. LaBeouf said it was Gottsagen's brutal honesty that brought him back from a "twisted" time in his life. During filming The Peanut Butter Hawk LaBeouf was arrested for being drunk in public and shooting a large scene. When he returned to the set, it was Godshit who put his hand on his shoulder and greeted him back. It was a great moment for Shia LaBeouf .

The Peanut Butter Hawk will be released on Digital November 5 and on Blu-ray (plus Digital) DVD & On Demand on November 12 from Lionsgate. The film is still to be seen in selected cinemas, but is currently running out. The weird title of the movie is the name of Zack Gottsagen's wrestling character in the movie, which is pretty impressive. Gottsagen got his wish and he is now a movie star. Hopefully more people will be working on his work now that it's almost ready for home publishing. The exclusive clip for The Peanut Butter Hawk can be found below.
